Web applications / Bespoke business solutions

A better tool for the way your business works.

When a valuable process is held together by spreadsheets, repeated emails or software that never quite fits, a focused web application can give customers and teams a clearer way to get things done.

01 / When bespoke makes sense

Start with the friction, not the software.

Custom development is most useful when the process matters, the same problems keep returning and a generic platform creates more work than it removes.

01

A process has become a patchwork

Information moves between inboxes, documents and spreadsheets, with people copying the same details more than once.

02

Customers need a clearer route

Quoting, applications, bookings, orders or updates involve too many steps and too much manual follow-up.

03

Your existing tools do not connect

Useful systems already exist, but the gaps between them create delays, mistakes or poor visibility.

02 / What we could create

Useful software, shaped around a real job.

The right solution may be a small internal tool, a customer-facing application or a connected workflow behind your website. These examples show the kind of problems bespoke development can address; the scope comes from your process.

Customer and partner portals

Give people a secure place to submit information, follow progress, access documents or manage requests.

Quoting and enquiry workflows

Collect the right details, apply agreed rules and move an opportunity through a consistent process.

Operations and admin tools

Bring recurring tasks, approvals, records and responsibilities into one clear working view.

Dashboards and reporting

Turn information from different sources into a useful view for day-to-day decisions.

Integrations and automation

Connect existing services so information moves reliably without unnecessary copying and chasing.

Focused first versions

Test a product or process with the smallest useful application before committing to a larger system.

03 / How the work takes shape

Understand it. Test it. Build what earns its place.

  1. 01

    Map the process

We speak to the people involved, follow the current workflow and identify the delay, risk or repeated effort worth solving.

  2. 02

    Define the useful first version

We prioritise the users, actions, information and connections that create value, leaving nice-to-have features for later.

  3. 03

    Prototype the experience

You review a tangible interface and key journeys before the full build, while changes are still quick to make.

  4. 04

    Build, check and introduce it

The agreed application is developed, tested with realistic scenarios and handed over with hosting, access and support made clear.

04 / The right answer may be simpler

Bespoke should justify itself.

I will not recommend custom software simply because it can be built. If an existing service, a better configuration or a lightweight integration solves the problem well, that may be the better investment. Discovery gives us enough evidence to decide.

05 / Experience behind the service

Business thinking and digital delivery, connected.

This is the work I most enjoy: understanding a complicated process, making the decisions visible and turning it into something people can actually use. My wider experience spans business analysis, data, project management, marketing and web delivery, which helps me connect the operational need with the experience and the build.

My previous agency project-management experience includes web applications for Coach Hire Comparison and Fleetspan. These were agency-team projects rather than Modo Vivo commissions.

Which process needs a better tool?

Describe what happens today, who is involved and where the work becomes slow or frustrating. Rough notes are enough to start.
